In 1993, the first Ultimate Fighter Championship (UFC) took place in Denver, Colorado. This event was created to test different martial arts disciplines against one another and see which emerged on top. After the first four UFC events, one man emerged as the true master: Royce Gracie. This jiu-jitsu black belt dominated the ring even against bigger opponents. Eventually, Gracie was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame in 2003.
