Youth Jiu-Jitsu Programs: Building Tomorrow’s Leaders Today

Our youth programs are divided strictly by development stages to ensure every child receives age-appropriate instruction, individual attention, and a safe training environment.

Kids BJJ (Ages 4–7)

  • When We Train: Mondays & Thursdays (4:30pm–5:20pm) | Tuesdays & Wednesdays (4:30pm–5:20pm) | Saturdays (9:00am–10:00am)

  • The Focus: Coordination, Focus, and Fun

For our youngest practitioners, Jiu-Jitsu is introduced through structured movement, agility drills, and martial arts games. At this stage, we focus heavily on foundational body mechanics—learning how to fall safely, stand up technically, and understand basic positional control. More importantly, this class instills early lessons in discipline, listening to coaches, and showing respect to training partners.

Youth BJJ (Ages 8–11)

  • When We Train: Mondays & Thursdays (5:20pm–6:10pm) | Tuesdays & Wednesdays (5:20pm–6:10pm) | Saturdays (10:00am–11:00am)

  • The Focus: Anti-Bullying, Fundamental Techniques, and Teamwork

As children enter the 8-11 age bracket, the curriculum shifts toward practical self-defense and fundamental BJJ submissions and escapes. We teach children how to diffuse bullying situations using verbal assertiveness and non-violent physical control. Students in this class build incredible functional strength, mental resilience, and the self-assurance needed to navigate peer pressure confidently.

Teen Jiu-Jitsu (Ages 12–17): Athleticism and Discipline

  • When We Train: Mondays & Thursdays (6:10pm–7:00pm) | Tuesdays & Wednesdays (6:10pm–7:00pm) | Saturdays (11:00am–12:00pm)

  • The Focus: Advanced Technique, Live Sparring, and Goal Setting

The teenage years can be challenging, and our Teen BJJ program offers the ultimate outlet for stress, energy, and personal growth. This class bridges the gap between youth foundational movements and complex adult strategies.

Teens learn advanced sweeps, complex guard passing, and submission chains. The live sparring (rolling) elements teach them how to problem-solve under pressure, adapt to adversity, and build a work ethic that carries over directly into their schoolwork and future careers.

Specialized Women’s Training: Empowerment and Community

  • When We Train: Wednesdays (7:00pm–8:00pm)

  • The Focus: Situational Awareness, Leverage-Based Defense, and Fitness

Our dedicated Women’s BJJ class offers a supportive, empowering environment tailored specifically to female practitioners. While women are always welcome in our co-ed adult classes, this specific hour allows for focused drilling on leveraging body mechanics against larger, stronger opponents.

Led by experienced instructors, the class covers essential real-world self-defense scenarios while offering a high-intensity cardio workout that burns calories, tones muscles, and builds an unbreakable bond of community among the women on our mats.

Adult Training (18+): Master Your Body and Mind

Our comprehensive adult program is designed to accommodate both hobbyists looking for a lifestyle change and competitive athletes sharping their skills.

Weekly Schedule Breakdown:

  • Morning Sessions (All Levels): Mondays & Fridays (12:00pm–1:00pm)

  • Evening Gi Sessions: Tuesdays & Thursdays (7:00pm–7:30pm Techniques | 7:30pm–7:30pm Live Rolling) | Wednesdays (7:00pm–8:00pm)

  • Evening No-Gi Sessions: Mondays (6:00pm–7:00pm) | Wednesdays (8:00pm–8:30pm) | Thursdays (6:00pm–7:00pm)

Optional Advanced Segments:

To maximize your progression, we have integrated specific optional blocks into our evening schedules:

  • Optional Live Training / Sparring: Mondays (7:00pm–7:30pm) & Thursdays (7:00pm–7:30pm)

  • Optional Sparring Blocks: Tuesdays (7:00pm–7:30pm) & Fridays (7:00pm–7:30pm)

Adult training at our academy focuses on systematic control. You will learn how to efficiently use your weight, frames, and levers to neutralize threats. Beyond the undeniable physical benefits—such as weight loss, increased flexibility, and core strength—Adult BJJ serves as an incredible mental release, forcing you to stay completely present in the moment and clear your mind of daily stress.

Open Mat: The Laboratory of Jiu-Jitsu

  • When We Train: Saturdays (11:00am–12:00pm Open Mat) | Saturdays (12:00pm–1:00pm Open Mat)

  • The Focus: Free Sparring, Drilling, and Networking

Open Mat is exactly what it sounds like—the mats are open to all students to utilize as they see fit. There is no formal instruction or lecture during this time. Instead, it serves as a community laboratory.

You can use this time to pair up with a teammate and drill a technique you struggled with earlier in the week, test your game through consecutive live rounds, or simply sit down and talk strategy with higher belts. It is a relaxed yet highly productive environment essential for long-term mastery.
